The first 72 hours in any emergency situation are the most dangerous ones, most people who are not prepared will have a fairly difficult time, but even a small, cheap premade survival bag will contain everything that you need to survive for the first 72 hours.
The best premade bug out bag is the Echo Sigma which contains enough food and water for one person for 72 hours. In addition to this, the Echo Sigma premade bug out bag also comes with several essentials like a survival kit, first aid kit, and respirator masks. The bug out bag is made out of high quality materials which is a must to ensure reliability in any SHTF situation.
In my experience, a premade bug out bag should have enough content for two persons and it shouldn’t look flashy at all, the last thing you would want in an SHTF situation is to attract attention from the wrong crowd of people. My personal recommendation is to get a premade bug out bag which looks like an ordinary backpack but comes with everything you would need in an SHTF situation Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
If you are serious about prepping then you will need to have at least one bug out bag. When it comes to getting a bug out bag, you have basically two choices, either get a premade bug out bag or make your own bug out bag. When I started prepping around a decade ago there were not a lot of options for premade bugout bags although with some searching you could still get a good one. My first bug out bag was a premade one, although it is in fairly rough shape now as I mostly use it for hiking.

As the years passed I started to learn more about prepping and the contents of my bug out bags also changed. In the beginning, my main focus was to get the largest bug out bag possible so I can fill it with everything I need. My idea back then of bug out was to grab the bug out bag and put it in my vehicle in case of an emergency, at one point during one of my hiking trips my car broke down and I had to walk for around 15 miles.
In the first 30 minutes of the walk, I started to feel the pain of having such a big bug out bag and realized that in a real crisis situation where I wouldn’t be able to rely on my vehicle, my bug out bag will probably just slow me down. From that point, I got a new bug out bag and only filled it with useful stuff, the idea is to travel as lightly as possible with only the essentials, believe me, small items can weigh a lot when you fill your bug out bag with crap.
The good thing about premade bug out bags is that they usually will have everything you will need to survive the first 72 hours, although, during the past couple of years, some of these companies making premade bug out bags started to fill them with a lot of items, which although useful but highly situational in most cases. So no point in carrying with you a Geiger counter if you will probably never use it. Best Premade Bug Out Bag
When it comes to pre-made bug out bags, there are several options available that can provide a solid foundation for emergency preparedness. One highly recommended option is the “Ultimate Survival Technologies Deluxe Survival Kit.” This comprehensive bug out bag includes essential items such as a durable backpack, water purification tablets, a multi-tool, a compass, emergency food rations, a first aid kit, a survival blanket, and various other survival essentials.
The bag is designed to be compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry in case of emergencies. It also offers room for customization, allowing you to add personal items or tailor it to your specific needs. While no bug out bag can cover all scenarios, having a well-equipped and well-organized bag like this can significantly enhance your preparedness for unexpected situations.

Everlit
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
A lot of people consider the Everlit bag to be a tactical bug out bag as its content is made with the help of US military veterans. This simply means that you will get everything you need in case of an emergency. Just as a side note, you will probably notice that the bag doesn’t include a lot of food, most bug out bags will have MREs and food bars, although this one only has 2 food bars. In case you also have pets then you have to bug out with them, for more information check out my recent article 13 Steps for bugging out with pets ( Dogs & Cats ).

What sets this bug out bag apart from most of its competitors is that this bug out bag is made in accordance with the FEMA regulations, which basically means that everything that FEMA recommends is included in the bug out bag. What I love most about this backpack is that at first glance it looks like an ordinary backpack, and this, in my opinion, is vital in order not to attract too much attention, especially in an urban area.
What is included?
- Water
- Food
- Radio
- Flashlight
- Charger
- First aid kit
- Multitool knife
- Tent
- Sleeping bags

You might be fooled by the first appearance of the red bag, but trust me this simple yet very effective bag will have everything you need in a survival situation. Wise Food Emergency Survival Backpack Kit
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
The Wise Food company is mostly known for emergency food, which has a long shelf life. This bag has plenty of food, but it is fairly limited when it comes to water. The biggest complaint I have with this bug out bag is that most of the food is freeze-dried and you will have to cook the food before you can eat it, so you will have to pack some extra water to have enough for cooking and drinking.
What is included?
- 32 servings of food
- Water pouches
- Bandage kit
- Flashlight
- Mylar blanket
- Waterproof matches
- Poncho
- Playing cards
- Dust mask
- Portable stove
- Water purification tablets
- Etc.
Sustain Supply Co. Premium Emergency Survival
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
A lot of people will say that this is probably one of the best premade bug out bags on the market currently. I do not personally own this bag but in our prepper group, there are at least 5-6 people who are using it, after asking them the pros and cons most of them didn’t have anything bad to say about it except that the first aid kit doesn’t have a lot of items in it. Some companies like to inflate the number of items in their bug-out by adding small items in their first aid kits, Sustain Supply doesn’t do this and this is why some people find it odd not to have 200+ items in their first aid kits. It is a good idea to include a fireproof bag into your bug out bag to protect your documents, for more information check out my recent article Do fireproof bags really work ( Or do they? ).
What is included?
- Food
- Water
- Water filtration straw
- Lantern
- Flashlight

Complete Earthquake Bag
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
The Complete Earthquake Bag will be useful in any SHTF situation, even if you are not a prepper but you live in an earthquake-prone area then it is a good idea to have this bag. This bug out bag has plenty of food, water, and supplies for 72 hours, these supplies will be enough for two people. You have probably noticed that I don’t really mention how many people the bug out bags are made, mostly because how much water and food you will consume in an SHTF situation is fairly relative especially if you do not have a strict plan on when and what to eat.
What is included?
- Food bars
- Water
- Water pouches
- Water purification tablets
- First aid kit
- Personal hygiene
- Hand-cranked flashlight
- Poncho

- Bodywarmers
- Candle
- Rope
- Work gloves
- Etc.
Emergency Zone 2 Person Family
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
This is the second premade bug out bag on this list made by Emergency Zone, the biggest difference between this bug out bag and the urban bug out bag is the number of items included and the price of it. As with all Emergency Zone bug out bags, this is also FEMA compliant, some manufacturers will go with the US coast guard compliance, but in my opinion, if the content of a bug out bag is compliant with either of these then I consider this as a big bonus. If you are bugging out due to civil unrest but you are afraid of leaving your business untended then check out my recent article How to protect your business from looters ( In 13 Easy Steps ).

Life Gear LG492 Emergency Survival Kit
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
This is probably the smallest and lightest bug out bag, and probably the cheapest one. The major difference with this premade bug out bag is that it doesn’t have any food or water included in the bag, and no cooking and water filtering items. This is not a 72-hour kit, you will need to add water and food to make it a full 72-hour survival kit, luckily the bag has a lot of sleeves and pockets where you can fit all your necessary items.
What is included?
- Poncho
- Thermal blanket
- First aid kit
- Personal hygiene kit
- Compass

Life Gear Wings of Life Emergency Survival Kit
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
This premade bug out kit is US coast guard compliant and it has enough food and water for 3 days for one person. Overall this is a very good bug out bag, but my complaint is that the shelf life of the food is fairly limited to around 3 years. Most premade bug out bags which include food have a general shelf life of around 5 years. No matter what the manufacturer says as to how long the shelfie is, you should always check when the actual food was produced.
What is included?
- First aid kit
- Personal hygiene items
- Poncho
- Waterproof document bag
- Flashlight
- Signaling mirror
- Compass
- Blanket
- Mask
- Food

The contents of the bag are fairly similar to a military bug out bag, with some exceptions, but overall this is a very high quality premade bug out bag.
What is included?
- Food
- Water
- Blankets
- Lighter
- Magnesium fire starter
- Waterproof matches
- Duct tape
- Water purification tablets
- Lightsticks
- Pen

This premade bug out bag is the dream of many preppers, not only due to the numerous useful items but also because the quality of the items is fairly high. With this premade bug out bag, you will probably face any SHTF situation, even a zombie apocalypse. What I love the most about this bag is that it is freshly made, meaning you won’t find any perishable items which have been in the bag for a couple of years already. There are a lot of premade bags that have food with an average shelf life of around 5 years, but most of them are not packed freshly as they do with this bug out bag.
What is included?

This is an excellent earthquake bug out bag, which you can also use in probably any SHTF situation. The bag has everything that you will need for the first couple of days in case of an emergency. First My Family 4FKIT All-in-One
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
This premade bug out bag comes with 2 bags, as they are meant to be used by 4 people. It has enough water and food for all 4 personas for about 72 hours. If you are a beginner prepper with a family then this is a perfect starting bug out bag, on the other hand, if you have 4 people in your family then it will probably be a better idea to get them each a separate bug out bag.
What is included?
- Food
- Water
- First aid kit
- LED flashlight
- Mylar space blankets
- Ponchos
- Bodywarmers
- Glow sticks
- Work gloves

Emergency Zone 4 Person Family

This is similar to the above-mentioned premade bug out bag made by Emergency Zone, the main difference is that this premade bug out bag comes with two bags and includes items for 4 persons. This is a fairly good premade bug out bag, my only complaint would be that it has food bars and no MREs in the bag.
What is included?
- Water
- Food
- Radio
- Flashlight
- First aid kit
- Sleeping bag
- Poncho
- Flashlight
- Batteries
- Personal hygiene items

Emergency Case Premium Family Survival Kit
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
This is actually a bug out case, but the quality of the items included is fairly high. The bug out case is made with keeping in mind the FEMA guidelines and it will feed and shelter 4 people. The only downside of this bug out case is that if you have to carry this around on foot then you will suffer as it is fairly heavy and you can not strap it on your back. On the other side it has a 5 kit emergency system which means that in theory, 5 people could use it in case of an emergency.
What is included?
- Food
- Water
- Tent
- Medical kit
- Personal hygiene items
- Shovel
- Work gloves
- Knife
- Lighter
- HEPA mask
- Poncho
- Etc.
Stansport Deluxe Emergency Preparedness Kit
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
If you take a look at this bug out bag you might think it is a cargo or a gym bag. This bug out bag isn’t as fancy or tactical looking as some of the other bug out bags mentioned on this list, but in my opinion, that is a good thing. If you are following OPSEC then I highly recommend this bugout bag.
What is included?
- Lantern
- AM radio
- Propane stove
- Flashlight
- Tarps
- Ponchos
- Blankets
- Sleeping bag
- First aid kit
- Water purification kit
- Candles
- Food bars
- Knife
- Etc.
Rescue Guard First Aid Kit
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
This is a fairly small bug out bag, but it has plenty of food and water for 72 hours, in addition to some essential tools. In addition to a high-quality knife, this bugout bag also includes a high-quality hatchet, which in my opinion all premade bug out bags should include. Due to the small size of the bag and the many items included you might find it fairly cramped if you would want to add some items or tools.
What is included?
- Food
- Water
- Tent
- Poncho
- Rope
- First aid kit
- Compass
- Firestarter
- Blankets
- Knife
- Gloves
- Etc.
Emergency Zone Stealth Tactical
Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
Emergency Zone makes some amazing bug out bags, and this is probably one of their best-premade bug out bags. One extremely important aspect of prepping is to follow OPSEC, which simply means that you should keep your prepping a secret, and in the event of an SHTF situation you will have to lay low and not stick out of the crowd. This bug out bag looks like an ordinary bag but its quality and content will help you survive most SHTF situations.
What is included?

This bug out bag is excellent for beginner preppers, as it is fairly lightweight and fairly cheap.
